Field Trip!
Today was a big day at the boys’ preschool. They had their first field trip. I dropped them off at the usual place but instead of going into the school, they boarded a big yellow school bus and went (for an hour) to a local indoor play place. They both waved excitedly as I drove off, they were standing on the curb in their matching pr [...]
Another day, another adventure
Today’s adventure highlights include: (for those who find it entertaining)
After two rather successful well-behaved errands in the same week, we tried again today to run errands, it was a disaster. Had to go to 4 different places, could have been quick with only a thing or two in each. No such luck. It took 3 hours.

Go fly a kite!
It’s been a long winter around here, so when we had a warm, sunny day we took advantage of it! We went to the nearest state park where we love to hike, and did some playground, kite flying and didn’t go hiking (since the floods of last week left the entire trail underwater…)

These boys are smart. They know there [...]

Yesterday we drove to Ding Darling wildlife preserve, where Jeff went when he was little. We saw tons of birds and even a couple Alligators! There was a little one right off the parking lot, it was only about 3-4 feet long head to tail. The other was in the preserve on the side of the roa [...]
Spring Break Road Trip Part 1
We have had spotty internet connectivity, as well as a lot of rough days and nights, so this is a mishmash update on our trip so far. LOTS of pictures here.
We left Wednesday morning, two hours later than projected, since Mommy wasn’t feeling great and Joshua also woke up with a fever. The boys were both wrapping up a week of croup a [...]
Croup and Crud and Where is Spring ag...
No, we haven’t fallen off the face of the earth. Promise. Just had a rough few weeks/months/winter.
This winter has been really rough on our immune systems. We have sampled just about every bug going around, and I for one am ready to throw open the windows, shed our layers, and head out into the sunshine This time last year we were i [...]
