Important Milestones nobody will ever ask about
1. Learning to toast. (they toast each other and say, “Cheers!” and everything.)
2. First fortune cookie had an appropriate first fortune, I think.
3. Skinned knees. (This is when I knew my babies were no longer babies. sigh.)
4. Putting shoes on without help. Joshua loves to wear shoes, finds them, puts them on himself and 50 percent of the time he even gets them on the correct feet. Not this time, though.
5. Coloring with Markers. (Supervised. Washable.)
6. Learning to put an olive on the tip of a finger. This is an essential life skill, people. Can’t you just feel the joy at this mastery?
7. Eating corn on the cob.
8. Making scary monster faces. This is an essential boy skill. So is the accompanying roar.
9. Going down the slide alone. Actually climbing up then going down alone.
10. Getting to go on a walk not in the stroller. (if you don’t think this is a big deal then you never had twin toddlers.)
So fast they grow. My tiny babies are little boys.

Thanks for reminding me of the other milestones!

love this post!
how do you like the monkey backpack things? i’ve been debating on whether to buy them for my twin girls…have you attempted shopping while they wear them?
your blog is so cute…found you from M&M hop :)
We love to cheers in our house! Our b/g twins are 29 mos and I still don’t take them on a walk without the stroller by myself! We have these backpacks too, but it’s just too much for me. Kudos to you if you can take that walk alone! (With two adults, yes, it is totally doable for us).
